Students can test to achieve their Blue, Purple, Brown and/or Black Belt under the RA Tactics Shooting Rank System. This Belt is a small, 6-inch, 550 Cord belt that will clip onto your battle belt or pant loop behind your firearm and show your rank. This will be gifted to the student(s) who successfully pass the test, at any level.

In order to achieve rank status, students can do one of the following: 

1. While attending a class or a personal session students can test for their Belt. If the student is already ranked they can test for a higher Belt or receive an achievement stripe on their current Belt. You can earn a stripe(s) by completing one or more of the higher belt time standards. Once you reach four stripes then you must complete all stages of the test at a higher standard in order to be promoted. As a Black Belt you can earn a stripe by passing the black belt standard. 

2. If you choose to be apart of the ranking system outside of the test, the instructor can rank you, up to a Purple Belt based on your performance during a class. This belt must be purchased by the student, not gifted. You can be ranked by performing at a high standard at one or more classes. The instructor can also grant a stripe achievement to a student's belt based off of performance and/or class attendance.

We do not post Black Belt times. I want you to focus on where you are at consistently, on demand. I want you to think to yourself, "Did I go fast enough? Could I have pushed myself to go faster?" If you can push yourself to your limit, with no misses and under a hidden time, then I know that you can do this consistently. Consistency + Skill is what makes a Black Belt.
